Craig is a proud native of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and was raised amidst the island’s stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage. The values and lessons learned from his hometown have shaped both Craig's personal life and professional career.
With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Craig has played an integral role in some of Canada’s most significant energy and mining projects. Notably, he was involved in ExxonMobil’s first major gas field off Sable Island, Nova Scotia, and worked on Canada’s first diamond mine, Ekati, in the Northwest Territories. His extensive experience spans from drilling to the commissioning of new platforms, with hands-on involvement in both the technical and operational aspects of the industry.
In addition to his field expertise, Craig is a certified L&D9 A1 instructor/trainer with 10 years of experience teaching both in the classroom and on simulators. His commitment to education and training in the energy sector reflects his passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others.
Outside of work, Craig is dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with a particular passion for hockey, weightlifting, and overall healthy living. He values his family life and strives to bring the same energy and dedication to both his professional endeavors and personal relationships.
Today, Craig continues to live in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, where he remains focused on advancing his career while giving back to his community.
