He has led work to accelerate supplier innovation, drive ESG performance, and grow Indigenous economic participation and partnerships. industry experience spans many sectors, including oil and gas, power utilities, and air
transportation.
Allan is an active contributor to industry and the Supply Chain profession. He is currently an
Adjunct SCM Instructor at the SAIT School of Business and the Vice Chair of the Canadian Heavy
Oil Association (CHOA) where he works to accelerate innovating contributing to the energy
transition and driving industry ESG performance. Allan also Co-Chaired the Construction
Owners Association Alberta’s (COAA) best practice framework on Collaborative Contracting to
improve industrial capital project execution and served as the SCM Industry Advisor on
Advanced Work Packaging best practices. Allan is also the former President and Chair of the
Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) where he collaborated with industry and
academia to develop and implement procurement best practices.

Doug Simms

An innovative leader skilled in strategic planning, financial administration, supply chain management, technology deployment and corporate services delivery, Doug is a trusted partner with internal leadership teams and external stakeholder groups and collaborates effectively across functional organizations. |
Doug is adept at developing strong internal leadership utilizing his own leadership style of personal engagement and mentoring, effective communications and building focused, committed teams. Before co-founding EnvisionPRO, Doug held an executive role at a large Oil Sands operation in Northern Alberta with successful leadership experience in financial management / regulatory reporting, supply chain management & warehousing, information systems and corporate logistics including facilities management, building leases, light vehicle fleets, small equipment management, ground transportation, security, janitorial, waste management, camp logistics and aviation.
Doug values continuous learning holding a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Memorial University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and is an active member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). He has completed Executive Leadership training programs at Harvard, Sauder Business School (UBC), and at the ThunderBird Program (Univ of Arizona). He received the CMA Directors Award for highest provincial achievement in the national standardized accounting exam and has just recently begun Lean and Six Sigma Practitioner training. Doug is a current or past member of several professional organizations, including the Executive Financial Committee at the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP), and as a business representative with the Northern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA). Doug also supports local business and community organizations currently serving as Board Director and Chair – Finance Committee for both the Fort McMurray Airport Authority and the Vista Ridge Athletic Association.
