Michael Permack is an accomplished practice consultant with 18 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Michael specializes in guiding healthcare practitioners (HCPs) to improve the business performance of their practices to create better outcomes both financially and otherwise. He has generated over $115 million in value for the clients he has served.
His life’s journey is unique and drives his passion for helping HCP’s. He is among the longest living brain tumor survivors on the planet. At the age of 29, Michael was diagnosed with the tumor. He was blindsided by the diagnosis and he had just completed his MBA at the Ivey School of Business and was married with two young children.
Over time and in his conversations with doctors and dentists, Michael was surprised with the lack of business training that HCPs were provided. He has dedicated his career to help those HCPs who want to be better as defined on their own terms. “For some it’s all about making money, for others it’s a passion for their craft. Truly, doctors and dentists have a lot of pressure to perform every day. If I can support them to live a better life, it’s the least I can do”.
He believes the changes in the healthcare industry will provide unique opportunities to those who position themselves correctly.
Michael’s charitable work with Canadian Cancer Society, both provincially and nationally, has earned him the prestigious Medal of Courage Award and the Sovereign Medal for Volunteers from the Governor General of Canada.
Michael is married and has three children.
