In the airline and transportation industry, Steve spent 15 years at WestJet as it grew from a local low-cost startup to an international full service carrier. Steve has extensive experience in all the operating units of an airline including commercial, customer support, flight ops and maintenance in a fully digitized business landscape. compliance will enable LifeLabs to leverage technology and data to deliver an improved and secure customer experience. At Air Canada, Steve lead the Risk and Assurance practice assigned to the reservation system replacement program, developed a formalized Enterprise Application Management service and Flight Operations Modernization and Resiliency program.
In the healthcare and life sciences industry, Steve lead the development of a fully digitized customer and transactional platform strategy and implementation for the largest testing lab in Canada to assist local, Provincial and Federal jurisdictions manage through the Covid pandemic. The immediacy and complexity of positioning virtual and just in time health services required solutions not available historically available in Canada and helped the organization achieve record revenue and profitability during what was generally seen as a very depressed economic period.
Steve was the Global CIO of the Bayer carve out factory for the Monsanto transaction in what was a highly lucrative deal. He was responsible for the digital replication of the Bayer agricultural product transferred to the acquirer as a fully operational business including ERP, R&D, quality, and distribution services. Steve has also performed detailed Asset Purchase Agreements (APA’s) on brands such as Aeroplan and Air Transat as part of financial and risk valuation packages.
Steve is certified in Executive Strategy and Management from Haskayne’s and Rotman’s business schools, TOGAF architecture frameworks and a deep understanding of numerous other business and technology enablement practice areas required to effectively delivery value across multiple industries.
